Night swimming (7pm to 5am): Adult: P170.00 Child (4 ft): P110.00

Cottages:
The resort has a number of cottages to choose from, which can accomodate a number of people in a group from sizes of 8-10 to 50-60. The price range of these cottages are around P600.00 to P3000.00.

The downside of the large number of these cottages is that they tend to be so close to another which is hard especially when it is peak season and there are a number of people in the resort.

Rooms: The resort also has number of rooms that can accomodate those who wants to stay there overnight. For as low as P2,000.00 you can have a standard airconditioned room for 6 person. I find the room very nice despite the price. With large bed, extra matress and pillows, a bathroom, table, and chair, not bad.
Resort Policies: The resort is not that strict.

1. You can bring your own food
2. You can cook your own food inside the resort however you have to pay for corkage fees listed outside their office.
3. There are a lot of videoke machines that you can use and rent but they have the city ordinance that prohibits them to use the machine beyond 12:00 midnight.
4. They are strict when it comes to swimming attire. There are pool area wherein they won't allow people wearing ordinary shorts, t-shirts, etc. So keep in mind to have your trunks with you and swimsuit for the ladies.

*List of corkage fees*

I really love this place. The only thing i dont find very cool is the crowded people in all their pool areas. =)

I am helpful to those deserving of my help, however, if you're the type of person that is labeled as "user", hypocrite, plastic, asshole, liar, cheater, etc. then damn it, go to where you belong, down there!

If someone gave you something, accept it and be thankful for it. Dont screw the person by saying bad stuff at her/his back. Shitty moments like this happens in our life. AArrrgghhh...

FRUITAS: Green mango shake

STORE NAME: Fruitas
FLAVOR: Green Mango
I first had my taste of FRUITAS Green Mango shake at ISETANN recto with bf. It was a good suggestion of the store saleslady who told me that it is one of the most in-demand flavor. So i had myself try it and guess what, it was truly a very exciting and yummy shake. Now, i always go for the green mango shake wherever and whatever place that sells fruit shakes. =)

Big Chill, also a fruit shake stand offers different flavored fruit shakes and i believe they also have the nutritional/protein filled shakes. Still have to check about this tho.'

So im gonna concentrate with the FRUITAS shake stand seen almost everywhere. Since we are experiencing a very hot weather in the PH it is truly refreshing to have one of the best and cheap fruit shakes. Their containers comes in 12oz for 45 pesos, 16oz for 55 pesos and 22oz for 85 pesos. However, there is also a price difference when it comes to those 2 flavored and seasonal fruits flavored fruit shakes.

At home, i found two large green mango and voila, the first thing that came to my mind is to prepare my own green mango shake. It is very easy. All you need is green mango (i prefer the carabao and unripe one), white sugar dissolve in hot water and cooled down, blender, ice-preferably crushed ice and milk (which is optional). I prefer the shake without milk.

1. Peel the mango and cut in pieces

2. Put mangoes in the blender together with the crush ice, blend it

3. then put the dissolved sugar and then blend it again

4. wooolaaa, now you have your very own green mango shake.

Tong Yang Hotpot 冬陽火鍋

(Photo from quezonavenue.com/tag/quezon-avenue/)

Hi there!

It has been another "sick" and "unlucky" day for me. Yesterday at the office, i accidentally bumped to the table and my colleague's tumbler (with water inside) fell to my foot then to the floor. It hurts a lot that i even hurriedly sat down to the floor and was about to cry. Anyway, enough of what had happened. So i did some work at home. Thanks to B for sharing with me, his ever helpful token. yeeho...

And now, i present to you the real subject: Tong Yang Hotpot located along Quezon Ave. just a few streets aways P99 steak house.

If you are looking for an eat-all-you-can/cook-your-own-food/korean-chinese style restaurant, then i suggest go to this place. I believe that they also have branches in Jupiter St (Makati city), SM and in Davao. Since i had my first Tong Yang experience in Quezon Ave. I will be blogging more about this place.

NAME: TONG YANG HOTPOT (冬陽火鍋) which means "winter sun hotpot" in english.

TYPE:
Restaurant (Hotpot); Chinese / Korean inspired-
Chinese because of the hotpot at the center of the table; as well as the food choices which includes dumplings; kangkong; siomai; seafoods, etc.
Korean because the hotpot comes with the grilling pan. Where you grill/fry everything you want to eat.

FOOD:
They have a variety of food. They have US import Beef, pork, chicken, seafoods, dumplings, salmon, bihon, fruits, deserts and ice cream. Once seated, waitress/waiter will ask you what soup you want. You can choose either sinigang , chicken broth or a little spicy.

PRICE:
For lunch, the price if 485, inclusive of bottomless drinks.
For dinner, it is P560, inclusive of bottomless drinks.

STORE TIME: I am not sure of the time it opens, but they closes at 10:00 pm so better go there early so you can all you want. =)

AMBIENCE:
When we went there around 9:00pm there are quite a number of people, good thing they have lots of tables and chairs that can accomodate a number of people. Servers are very accomodating. This TongYang branch has a more family-oriented ambience, good for family or barkada reunion, birthday reception, etc.

TIPS:
1. Make sure you are really hungry when you go here so that it would be worth your money. =)
2. Try not eat rice or if you want just minimal amount.
3. Not to intake much soup so that you wont feel full...hahaha...
4. Not drink a lot immediately (by the way, they also have bottomless beer) hahaha..
5. Their crab tastes so good.
6. Spacious parking
7. Cook your food altogether so that you wont waste time waiting.
8. Come early!
Here are some pics of me and my friend experiencing Tong Yang Q. Ave.

My college friend, Marco A.

At his back are displays of various seafoods, dumpling, veggies, meat and desserts.

Yours truly, having my part of yumminess.

Till next review.

List of Pulutan! (Appetizers)

Whether you like it or not, there will always a need for pulutan/appetizers during a drinking session. And since later tonight i'm going to have a drinking session with my girlfriends, i came up with the list of pulutan in mind.

1. Sizzling sisig- It may be Pork, Chicken, Tuna, Bangus, etc. This appetizer is surely famous to all Filipino drinkers. My choice would be Pork sisig especially if it's a crispy pork sisig. Dencio's, Crocodile Grill and Gerry's have good Sisig on their menu, but if you want a cheaper but tastier sisig, i recommend, SISIG HOORAY! For as low as P60, you have sisig and rice meal.

2. Ensaladang Mangga- Yes! Green Mango, onions, tomatoes chopped and mixed with bagoong can also be a good appetizer/pulutan.

3. Grilled pork intestines- The local street foods will always be part of the Filipino drinking culture. These street foods include the Betamax (or solidified pork blood), chicken intestines, our very own chicken feet, chicken neck and head, pork barbeque and so on. There is a vendor in my neighborhood that sells super yummy barbequeslocated at Severino Reyes st. just beside Real Bank.

4. Chicharon bulaklak and Bulalo- best place to go for these food? BULALUHAN SA ESPANA. It's along Espana, beside the old LTO office. Most taxi drivers know this place. Best bulalo and chicharon at a super cheap price.

5. Balot and penoy na may sabaw- Yum yum yum! I recommend the ballot stand near cayco st. There is this filipino guy we call kuya who sells good balot and penoy. I love the penoy na may sabaw.

6. Pizza- If you're the sosyal (shushall) one, you can try pizza and beer. =) PIZZA HUT and DOMINO's are the go to place for me. =)

7. Hot and Spicy chicken buffalo wings- i dont know where's the best place for the best spicy buffalo wings. My advise is that you cook your own, i think it will cost you less.

Guidance to Automated election May 10, 2010

Pangalawa: May 10, 2010.

May 2010- Events in the Philippines during the month

We are now in the last month of summer in the Philippines. Yes, it is summer here, and i have to say that it is the hottest summer of all times. I guess we need to blame ourselves. This is now one of the result of our wrongdoings to our Mother Earth. Global warming ei?!

I have to take note here in this post the different events that are happening now in the Philippines. People abroad might wonder what keeps the Filipinos during this month. So I will give you all an idea of what we are doing.

1st: The Philippine National Election
Yes! This the time that we are gonna be electing the new leader of our countries as well as all the officers for the national position. May 10, 2010 (Monday) is the exact date for this election, and this is the first time that this country will be conducting their electronic election. With the use of the PCOS-Precinct Count Optical Scan machine which was developed by the Smartmatics, according to them, will provide a more accurate and faster voting. (which me and majority of the Filipinos doubt). In my opinion, manual voting is still more accurate though it will take more days for the results.

2nd: Summer Outings
Just like any other citizens of the world, we, Filipinos, love summer outings. We usually go to the beach with families, friends or colleagues. Aside from the beach, we also have a lot of resort with pools which i personally like, since i think that i will not get dark whenever swimming in a pool. If you are rich or have saved a lot of money, then you can afford to go abroad in countries like US, Hongkong, Singapore, etc.

3rd: Flores De Mayo
This is a festivity which usually conducted by different barangay, district or community in the urban and rural areas in the Philippines. The traditional Flores de Mayo or Sagala portrays how Queen Helena (Reyna Elena), mother of Constantine the Great, searches and finds the Holy Cross. You usually see this procession of many beautiful ladies and handsome gentlemen of barangays/communities portraying different characters. However, it would be a great honor if you will be chosen Queen Helena, because aside from being considered the most beautiful, you also have all the eyes of the people on you. Currently, there are places in the Philippines that conduct Sagala with not women as participants, but gays. Yes, you read it write. Gays are now doing their own version of Sagala, which is strongly opposed by the Catholic church. There will always be two sides, that is why if there are people who are against the gay Sagala, there are also people who are okay with it. They think that it is more fun to see Gay people at Sagala.

4th: Mother's Day
Happy Mothers' day to all the mothers in the world. Thank you for bringing life to the world. Thank you for providing love, support, time, guidance and understanding to all of your children.
